This house is unique on the dream island of Madeira for several reasons. High above the rooftops of Funchal, it offers both proximity to the vibrant capital and incredible privacy and tranquility in the spacious property. The "Quinta da Relva" was built between 2008 and 2013 on a former English country estate at a pleasant altitude, specially equipped by a German architect and his family and provided with subtropical gardens. Located directly on the national park, such a house with a "residential license" is unique and cannot be recreated due to changed regulations. In addition to the Quinta, the property also has a gardener's house and an outbuilding that blend inconspicuously into the "hanging gardens". By both day and night, the unobstructed view over the mountains, city, harbor and the sea enchants everyone.
From June 2025, the property will be for sale with full furnishings directly from the owner.
Price available upon request.
Unique unobstructed view over Funchal
Residential development is no longer possible, so the view is unobstructed. Enjoy a fantastic view of the capital Funchal and the Atlantic Ocean.

Quality & tasteful design
The house has high-quality furnishings with stylish original historical furniture.

Quinta da Relva luxury living space
The villa has three residential floors. The upper floor has bedrooms and bathrooms. The ground floor has living and work rooms, a suite and the kitchens - a large garage with four parking spaces makes for short distances. The basement has a large living area, which is connected to a pool.

Garden
There are several gardens around the house, which are connected by retaining walls, stairs and terraces and can be automatically irrigated. A variety of valuable flowers, shrubs and trees ensure a magnificent display of flowers all year round.

Garden House
The garden house was originally designed as a home for the gardener. Today it is used as a lounge, workshop and tool room. It also has its own garden, which is accessed via a staircase.

The Island of Madeira
The high mountains and its location in the Atlantic Ocean give Madeira Island a balanced climate. Experience the power of the island's unique nature.
